Fruit Fizz Healthy Soda

(Great for replacement for the kids as well!) Remember use organic product as much as your budget and convenience can.

The majority of carbonated soft drinks contain an astounding quantity of sugar, calories, and potentially hazardous substances with no nutritional value. This is a great way to freshen up after a home fitness training and a fantastic replacement beverage for the family. Soda and sugar is harmful and must be avoided where possible. Soda use has been related to osteoporosis, obesity, tooth decay, and heart disease in studies. Here’s an option that’s not only tasty, but also healthy! So, instead of a soda, try a healthy alternative that tastes even better than the “real thing.” This is also an excellent method for weaning your children off of soda.

Ingredients:

  • 1 (34-ounce) bottle mineral or sparkling water (Arrowhead is a good choice because it has no sodium)
  • 1 pinch strawberries (Can be replaced with any other fruit) washed, peeled, and sliced (or other sweet, fresh fruit of choice)
  • 1 tablespoon raw honey (Being the the drink is cold you will be preserving all the nutritional benefits of the honey.)

In a high-powered blender, puree the berries and honey. In a large, chilled glass, pour 2 cups mineral or sparkling water. 1/2 cup pureed fruit, quickly and softly stirred into the water

The mineral water gives classic sodas their fizzy zing, while the fruit adds vitamins and fibre to the mix and honey as you may not know has plenty of nutritional benefits.
